中国团队新发现多例具有快速光变的罕见变星|国产精品久久久久久久久久久久午夜片
中新社合肥7月18日电 (记者 吴兰)记者18日从中国科学技术大学获悉,该校天文学系变星研究团队利用墨子巡天望远镜(WFST),对银道面开展了分钟级高频采样观测,新发现多例具有快速光变的罕见变星。相关研究成果近日发表于国际知名天文学期刊《天体物理学报增刊》。
作为北半球极具竞争力的光学时域巡天望远镜,中国新建的墨子巡天望远镜配备6.5平方度大视场和7.65亿像素相机,能够以分钟级间隔对银河系目标进行连续监测。
在望远镜试运行和先导观测阶段,WFST对约20平方度天区累计进行了13小时的高频观测,成功获取了超50万条高采样率的光变曲线。
科研人员通过自主研发的光变分析算法,从这些数据中新发现了多例稀有的周期性变星,包括迄今观测到的最暗的ZZ Cet型脉动白矮星之一J0530+5945以及物理起源尚待研究的热白矮星变星J0446+7227。
与此同时,该研究也展现了墨子巡天望远镜卓越的恒星耀发探测能力。在13小时的观测时间内,望远镜共探测到33颗耀星。这些耀星的样本普遍比当前主流巡天望远镜发现的耀星更暗弱。
墨子巡天望远镜还成功捕捉到一颗极暗弱(约22等)恒星(J0427+7034)上仅持续数分钟的耀发事件,此类来自暗弱恒星系统的快速耀发事件因对观测能力要求极高,此前极少被系统记录。(完)
