  中新网北京11月27日电 (记者 孙自法)国际知名学术期刊《自然》北京时间11月27日凌晨在线发表一篇行星科学论文称,美国国家航空航天局(NASA)“毅力号”火星车捕捉到的声音和电信号,是火星闪电的证据。这一研究发现表明火星大气具有电活性,有助于人们理解火星的大气化学,并助力未来进一步探索研究。

  该论文介绍,在太阳系中,地球、土星和木星都存在闪电和电活动(即电活性),火星理论上存在电活性,但此前从未得到直接证明。同时,火星多尘的表面经常发生大量局部和全球性事件,包括风沙、沙尘暴和尘卷风,这在地球上已知会引发起电。理解火星是否会发生此类起电十分重要,能有助于人们理解火星地表的化学特性,还可能影响到机器人和载人任务的安全性。

  在本项研究中,论文第一作者和通讯作者、法国天体物理学和行星研究所Baptiste Chide和同事及合作者一起,分析了“毅力号”火星车在两个火星年内采集的28小时的麦克风记录,通过识别雷电特有的干扰和声学特征,他们分类了55个放电事件发现,这些事件中有54个发生在研究期间前30%的强风事件中,表明风在火星电荷激发中起着重要作用;还有16个事件发生于火星车遭遇的仅有两次尘卷风期间,凸显出在麦克风录制范围之外可能存在更遥远或更低能量的放电现象。

  论文作者总结表示,此次研究的这些发现表明,火星大气具有电活性,特别是在局部扬尘而非全球性多尘季节里。他们认为,此类电活性可能增强了氧化环境,影响有机物保存和宜居性,也可能对设备和宇航员造成风险。因此,他们呼吁开发专用仪器,改善大气模型,来量化火星电活性现象及其造成的化学影响。(完)
