  10月24日,山西省考古研究院对外公布了山西财经大学东山校区五座元代墓葬的发掘资料。这次发现的5座墓葬形制基本相同,均为土坑洞室墓,墓室平面为方形或者长方形,均无纪年,墓葬内基本无装饰,内壁粗糙无修饰,随葬品较少,应为普通平民墓葬。

  这次发掘的元墓级别较低,陪葬品较少,体现了当时普通民众的葬俗,为认识太原地区元代平民墓提供了新的材料。

  山西财经大学东山新校区位于太原市小店区北营街办岗头村东,所处区域在历次文物普查中发现多处遗址、墓葬,属于太原市地下遗存重点保护区。

  本次发掘发现5座元代墓葬,均为土坑洞室墓,平面呈长方形或不规则长方形。有3座墓葬可见棺木残留,1座墓葬有生土掏挖的棺床,1座墓葬未见葬具,可辨别的遗骸均为头向东。共出土遗物9件,其中,陶器3件,瓷器3件,铜钱3枚。

  本次发掘的5座墓葬均坐北朝南,墓道位于墓葬的南侧,其墓葬形制及葬式同周边地区元代墓葬呈现一致的特征。

  山西地区元墓迁葬合葬现象比较常见,许多墓葬中可见多具人骨,有些人骨呈堆放状态。由于佛教世俗化以及普通民众经济水平低下等原因,元代山西地区比较流行火葬,《大元圣政国朝典章》中有元代官府禁焚尸的记载,然而,火葬焚化之风在民间一直存在,大同地区发现有较多火化遗骨的墓葬。本次发掘的五座墓葬其中一座就是火葬墓,在墓葬形制方面同周边地区的元墓基本一致,故推测其应该也是一座元代墓葬。
