  中新社香港7月17日电 (记者 韩星童)香港科技大学(简称“港科大”)17日召开记者会公布,研究团队开发出一套创新AI(人工智能)模型,只需极少量X光影像,便可建构出3D骨骼与器官图像,较以往计算机体层(CT)成像(简称“CT扫描”),可大幅降低病人接收的辐射量达99%。

  CT扫描是常见的医学影像工具,用于医疗诊断、指导手术程序和制作3D骨科与解剖模型以处理畸形、骨折及肿瘤等复杂病况。但CT扫描会令病人暴露于高剂量辐射,尤其不利于儿童、孕妇及需要频繁接受检查的长者。

  由港科大电子及计算机工程学系助理教授兼医学成像与影像分析研究中心副主任李小萌领导的研究团队开发的这套创新AI模型,不仅能加强保障病人安全,更可大幅降低医疗成本及轮候CT扫描的时间。李小萌介绍,相较CT扫描所需约400张至500张X光成像,新技术仅需病人2张至4张X光片,即可于1分钟内生成高清3D骨骼及器官影像。

  研究团队正与香港首家医疗金属3D打印厂商科能三维合作,将此新技术应用于制作手术规划用的骨骼模型,为病人量身打造植入物,并计划推展至实时手术监测。

  新技术将于未来数月在一家香港本地公立医院开展临床试验,若成功则有机会于明年正式应用此技术。研究团队亦正与其他医院商谈合作,期望将新技术应用到心肺成像方面,旨在提供更安全快捷的诊断模式,进一步提升手术前规划与手术程序监测的效率。(完)
